I’m a proud father of one living in Newcastle but originally from North of the Border. In my day to day I manage talent acquisition & HR for a national firm of accountants, so my role is to talk to people about one of the most important aspect of their lives; their job. As a career driven parent it can be difficult to manage the balance between professional and personal life and ParentSpace has helped me to see that whilst we might not always get that balance right there are others in the same situation and making those connections helps greatly. I want to support ParentSpace in helping other families in the community as well as help the organisation grow and develop. Outside of that I am a keen rock climber (a solo activity, not one with a child!) and like to keep active as best I can!

I’m a father of four children and teenagers living near Duns. In my day job, I manage a development business that helps people become more effective and fulfilled in their work. This led me to think how valuable it would be to have similar resources and support for us as parents. My experience is that I’m often winging it while dealing with the most important family decisions. ParentSpace helped me to learn some great tips from other parents in the same situations and so I am pleased to support ParentSpace as it grows to walk alongside more parents in our community.
When I’m not in constant Zoom meetings (yes – that is my life), I love to blow away the cobwebs up a snowy mountain, or on a windswept Scottish beach - always with my camera in hand.

I'm a mother of two primary age children on the Berwickshire coast; and I also work as an analyst at the Scottish Government. In juggling work and family life, I found ParentSpace to be a great opportunity to find space for me and an opportunity to talk with others in a similar situation to share tips and ideas and support each other. I'm delighted to now be supporting ParentSpace and bring this amazing resource to others across the area.

TESTIMONIALS
"I have done various ParentSpace courses and 1 day workshops since 2014.  ParentSpace has been a really helpful, supportive and positive experience and given me lots of confidence in my parenting and life decisions."
"I went along to a ParentSpace course recently and it was the best thing I ever did.  Not only did I receive the advice I was looking for but I gained a fantastic bunch of friends I can rely on to pull me up when I'm down."
