Our Parenting in the Primary Years programme runs over six weekly sessions and is aimed at all parents and carers of children and young people aged 5 to 11 years old. A wide range of topics will be covered helping provide you with the knowledge, advice and insight to parent with increased confidence.
The primary years are an exciting time when children are developing friendships and discovering more about who they are and what they can do. These sessions help to support child’s emotional wellbeing through understanding their temperament, meeting their needs and communicating well.
We’ll explore how our parenting approach influences family relationships and consider a toolkit of behaviour strategies to allow us to decide what best suits our family situation. We’ll discuss helping children make good choices and understand friendships both in the real and online worlds.
Finally, we’ll look at how to deal well with conflict and the importance of enjoying family time together.
